You can greatly improve the search engine rankings of your website by checking the current backlinks to your website.

1. How many websites link to your site?

If you want to get high rankings on Google and other major search engines, then it is important than your website has as many good backlinks as possible.

4. Which links use the rel=nofollow attribute?

Some website will use the rel=nofollow attribute to link to your site. If a link contains that attribute, the linking webmaster tells search engines that the link should not influence the search engine rankings of your website.

Some webmasters automatically add the nofollow attribute to all links. Contact these webmaster and ask them to remove the nofollow attribute from links to your site.
